Proposed Management Restructuring at the Casa

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to report that the Casa’s first brew in a long time has now been bottled! Given the circumstances, Daniela, the current vice-president at the Casa was given the naming privileges and has tentatively chosen to name the beer “Hulk” (“because it was so green when it was boiling”).

New Year's Brewing Advancements

Members of the Guild,

here at BBB we commenced the new year in the best way we know, brewing. We employed a couple of technical advancements to avoid common problems as stuck spargiamente and broken backs.

A Christmas Miracle

The Casa del Wood has awoken from a deep hibernation to discover state-of-the-art brewing equipment under the Christmas tree thanks to the technical advice from the Aliquot Brewery.

The Casa has performed it's first brew (in ages) on contintental Europe in the outskirts of Vienna. Drawing on the long tradition of German Ales popular to the region, a medium-bodied dark ale is currently undergoing primary fermentation.

We here at the Casa del Wood wish all of the Lund Brewing Guild members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Is anybody brewing?

Although MBB keeps claiming to be producing tons of beers, I see no sign of such activity on the website. No body posted anything for a month an a half. MBB didn't upload a single recipe.

Here at Aliquot, we work hard to maintain the production supremacy within the guild. Last sunday we completed our 40th beer and we are hosting Yeaster this weekend. The problems we experienced in the summer are far behind us, and every beer we made this autumn was a great success.

I hope to see more information on you guys' brewing soon!

Newsflash: Flathead Brewery reveals proprietary lagering technology

Dear Colleagues,

Have you ever wanted to brew lager beer at 'lager' temperatures, but do not want to invest in expensive refrigeration? In a joint brewing experiment last winter, Aliquot and Flathead Brewery endeavoured on a series of lagering devices which yielded significant improvements in lager tastification at minimal expense!

Recipes!

Dear colleagues,

I know you're not brewing nearly as much as us at Aliquot. Nevertheless, it is imperative that we all upload our recipes on the website! I'm mostly refering to founding members of MBB... Also the new entry Flathead could start. And BBB could at least upload the old file with all the Teaspoon recipes. There were some good beers there and I would try to replicate some.

Long story short, upload the recipes, all of you!

New Guild Meeting?

Dear colleagues,

it has been too long since our last Guild Meeting Online (or GMO, as Genetically Modified Organisms). Moreover, MBB staff was not present and did not have the possibility to discuss our Teaspoon BrewPub project. I suggest we try to find a suitable saturday that can accomodate all three time zones. Suggestions are welcome, I'm pretty much without plans for the coming month...

Cheers! Marco, CEO BBB

Brew Porn

The crystal clear mountain spring cascading over granite rocks. The brilliant green of leaf hops. The earthy glow of malted barley. The German narrator deilberating every succinent detail in a heavy teutonic accent. It can only be brew porn. Speidal brew porn. Observe the German gentlemen utilizing the 'build in crane'  of the 200L aparatus 6 minutes into the video. Stirring the wort.  Seductively teasing the mashed barley from the wort. Salaciously transfering it into a fermenter with a built in cooling jacket. Loosen your pants, grab some vaseline, a beer and enjoy.

Badgervangelism

Members of the guild,

The Mangled Badger has made such a profound impact in the USA that Barack Obama has now started brewing beer in the Whitehouse http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/03/04/134271001/obama-to-serve-....

He was clearly influenced by the Mangled Badger Brewery and we look foward to tasting his honey ale. Possibly in the White house.Badgervangelism finally paid off.
