Midweek brewing

Dear colleagues,

just a little update. I grew really fond of midweek brewing. good way of keeping the weekend free, but still have something to drink when it comes. today I'm brewing my famous IPA. when BBB's CEO will be here we should have a few tens of liters of beer, just to make sure we don't go dry.

is anybody else brewing at all? I know don Stuarto is active with the kettle, but silent on our website. what about the others?

cheers

Award winning beer

Dear colleagues,

it is my pleasure to announce that our Christmas beer ("More Christmas!") came third in the Spiced/Christmas beer category at Calgary's beer competition. Out of a total of 352 entries, and 15 in this subcategory, we are proud to have the best Christmas beer in Calgary (the 1st and 2nd were from Edmonton). I'm awaiting the full report from the judges. For now you can check out the resuts http://www.yeastwranglers.ca/NMP/Roundup12/tabid/381/Default.aspx

We should have a crisis meeting to discuss our success and other issues.

Viva le brew mistresses

Dear members of the guild,

It seems that the breweries of the guild are producing high quality beer, I'm really pleased. However, I'm sure this phenomenon wouldn't be possible without the brew mistresses. A brewer's invaluable assistant to create those tasty beers. I don't think that the brew mistresses in the guild get enough credit for the work we do. We are irreplaceable with our female intuition and multitasking abilities!

Proposed Management Restructuring at the Casa

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to report that the Casa’s first brew in a long time has now been bottled! Given the circumstances, Daniela, the current vice-president at the Casa was given the naming privileges and has tentatively chosen to name the beer “Hulk” (“because it was so green when it was boiling”).

New Year's Brewing Advancements

Members of the Guild,

here at BBB we commenced the new year in the best way we know, brewing. We employed a couple of technical advancements to avoid common problems as stuck spargiamente and broken backs.

A Christmas Miracle

The Casa del Wood has awoken from a deep hibernation to discover state-of-the-art brewing equipment under the Christmas tree thanks to the technical advice from the Aliquot Brewery.

The Casa has performed it's first brew (in ages) on contintental Europe in the outskirts of Vienna. Drawing on the long tradition of German Ales popular to the region, a medium-bodied dark ale is currently undergoing primary fermentation.

We here at the Casa del Wood wish all of the Lund Brewing Guild members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Is anybody brewing?

Although MBB keeps claiming to be producing tons of beers, I see no sign of such activity on the website. No body posted anything for a month an a half. MBB didn't upload a single recipe.

Here at Aliquot, we work hard to maintain the production supremacy within the guild. Last sunday we completed our 40th beer and we are hosting Yeaster this weekend. The problems we experienced in the summer are far behind us, and every beer we made this autumn was a great success.

I hope to see more information on you guys' brewing soon!

Newsflash: Flathead Brewery reveals proprietary lagering technology

Dear Colleagues,

Have you ever wanted to brew lager beer at 'lager' temperatures, but do not want to invest in expensive refrigeration? In a joint brewing experiment last winter, Aliquot and Flathead Brewery endeavoured on a series of lagering devices which yielded significant improvements in lager tastification at minimal expense!

Recipes!

Dear colleagues,

I know you're not brewing nearly as much as us at Aliquot. Nevertheless, it is imperative that we all upload our recipes on the website! I'm mostly refering to founding members of MBB... Also the new entry Flathead could start. And BBB could at least upload the old file with all the Teaspoon recipes. There were some good beers there and I would try to replicate some.

Long story short, upload the recipes, all of you!
