Flash back

Hi guys,

the production has officially started! we brewed a ESB-clone, flash back. named so both because I brewed similar beers twice before, and because I came back very quick! Compared to all the other colleagues...

Anyway, the aliquot canada is still not at full power: the sparging was problematic, and the wort chiller it's still not built (I have the material though), hence ice bath. but nonetheless, there will be beer in my home in a couple of weeks. check out the recipe on the appropriate page.

cheers

Carlo

Affligem Dubbel

Hi Guys,

I forgot to communicate that when I was in Amsterdam last week I tried this beer. I thought it was wonderful, with a lot more character than the usual dubbel. did any of you know it already? if you didn't, I suggest you check it out. I will be looking for the recipe and it might be a summer project for us at Aliquot. (summer because it's snowing here and I don't have any place of the house to keep the beer at 21C that you need for belgian beers). If you try and like it, give feedback.

Carlo

PS: is anyone still looking at this bloody site?

Finally Canada!

Dear colleagues,

In the first place I want to thank you all for coming to my wedding. I hope it was fun.

BBB takes over

Dear members,

yesterday a small commemorative meeting took place at the Aliquot headquarters, where BBB's CEO took over the production supplies. It has to be noted that a brewing kit was present in the aforementioned supplies. A sad day for the Guild, we say goodbye to Aliquot Sweden and impatiently wait for the official opening of Aliquot Canada. BBB's all-grain production will start as soon as possible.

Regards, Marco

Lund Brewing Guild Web Services Explained

Our presentation tonight will focus on explaining to the members the possibilities offered by our Web 2.0 compliant web platform, with a live demonstration on all the parts of the website and instructions for a correct use in the future.

Abstract submission now open!

Dear members,

as the last Crisis meeting is approaching, you can now submit your abstract (or attach your presentation/poster/both) on this website. Do do so, just add a blog entry with the title of your presentation and attach the file(s).

Submission closes on Friday 19th March, 18.00.

Small update

After constant insistence by Carlo, I am happy to inform the Guild that a new section has been added on the website. On the top-left links you can now find a "breweries" link, where you are invited to post the history of your brewery.

Crisis meeting?

It's time for a crisis meeting; the fact that we didn't have one in a while is a crisis in itself. I propose 10th or 11th of march. location of your choosing, preferably not BBB, though that at least puts a cap on how late it goes... marco perhaps can do the voting thinghy again.

Last Swedish brew

I'm glad to communicate that I just finished yet another great beer. it's "Addiction porter", with coffee (I posted the recipe). I think it turned out as I wanted to, may be a little too much coffee. From now on, the member of BBB can come at any time to pick up the brewing stuff, besides what's needed for bottling. I'm not sure I will rack, but I think I will, at least to get read of the coffee (I couldn't keep it all out of the wort, but most of it was in the hop sack). this should be a quick maturing beer, hopefully ready before I leave... the last burst of Aliquot in sweden.

Night out

I just came back from a couple of beer with members of the guild et al.

I just wanted to stress the fact the marco was not there because he was spending the evening with the in laws.
